In a shocking incident at Gaur City 2 apartment complex in Greater Noida, CCTV footage has captured a disturbing altercation between a woman and a young boy over her unleashed dog inside an elevator.
The incident unfolded when the eight-year-old boy, returning alone from a tuition class, entered the elevator. As the doors opened on another floor, he confronted a woman standing outside with her dog off the leash. Alarmed, the boy politely requested the woman not to enter the elevator with the unrestrained animal.
In response, the woman allegedly became aggressive, forcefully pulling the boy out of the elevator and proceeding to assault him. The CCTV footage shows her dragging him out, where she reportedly slapped and physically abused him before the elevator doors closed again.
Moments later, the doors reopened, revealing the boy in tears as he re-entered the elevator, with the woman following him. The traumatizing incident has sparked widespread outrage among residents of the complex, many of whom gathered in protest, condemning the assault and demanding justice.
Senior police officer Shakti Mohan Awasthi confirmed that a case has been filed against the woman, who has since been taken into custody for further investigation. Residents have also alleged that this incident is not isolated, citing a history of conflicts involving the woman and her dogs within the community.
The incident highlights growing tensions in gated apartment complexes in Noida and Greater Noida, where disputes over pet ownership and community rules have occasionally escalated into physical altercations. The community’s response underscores the urgent need for better conflict resolution and enforcement of pet ownership guidelines to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents.
