
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a significant three-day visit across five states—Manipur, Mizoram, Assam, West Bengal, and Bihar—from September 13 to 15, 2025. During this tour, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation for development projects totaling over ₹71,850 crore, underscoring the government’s commitment to fostering growth and stability in the northeastern region.
Manipur: A Step Towards Peace and Development
On September 13, PM Modi will visit Manipur, marking his first trip since the ethnic violence that began two years ago. In Churachandpur, he will lay the foundation for projects worth over ₹7,300 crore, focusing on infrastructure and community development. Later in Imphal, he will inaugurate initiatives valued at more than ₹1,200 crore, aiming to restore normalcy and promote economic growth in the state.
Assam: Infrastructure and Industrial Growth
The following day, PM Modi will travel to Assam, where he will unveil projects exceeding ₹18,530 crore. Key initiatives include the Guwahati Ring Road project, estimated at ₹5,700 crore, and a ₹4,200 crore bamboo-based bio-ethanol plant at Numaligarh Refinery. Additionally, a new medical college in Darrang district will be established, contributing to the state’s healthcare infrastructure.
Mizoram: Enhancing Connectivity
In Mizoram, PM Modi will inaugurate the Bairabi-Sairang railway line, a significant milestone connecting the state to the national railway network. This development is expected to boost trade, tourism, and overall connectivity in the region.
West Bengal: Cultural and Strategic Engagements
PM Modi’s visit to West Bengal includes participation in the birth centenary celebrations of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika in Guwahati. While specific projects in West Bengal are not detailed, the visit underscores the government’s focus on cultural and strategic engagements in the northeastern states.
Bihar: A Focus on Agriculture and Industry
On September 15, PM Modi will visit Bihar to launch development projects worth over ₹7,000 crore. These initiatives will focus on enhancing agricultural infrastructure, promoting industrial growth, and improving the overall economic landscape of the state
